Here we have Silswarup Patel scanning a location for our affiliated app, preParti, an event space scouting and planning application co-founded by Rachel Weir and her brother, our very own Dosa Kim! Dos spent the first half of his day meeting with a potential client of preParti then he and Sheel (as we here at GOMA affectionately know Mr. Patel as) spent the rest of the day scanning out locations that will be featured on preParti. The scans then send data to preParti through a third-party, and have everything modeled out into a three-dimensional virtual space that customers will be able to take a virtual tour through that is almost equivalent to physically scouting the location. With preParti, you can start planning out your events with no stress and no need to trouble yourself. You can download the app on Android devices today, and will be coming to iOS at a date to be determined.
Yesterday, the GOMA team held a presentation at Atomic Wash in Norcross, Georgia. We had to show off our chops and how we well we can dish out not only visual effects and computer generated graphics, but also how we can work with up and coming AR technologies. Needless to say, Atomic Wash was impressed. We've taken one more giant step toward becoming a giant ourselves here in ATL by making a new partner and demonstrating the talent we have on hand.
GOMA Studio Labs was the place to be this past Saturday night. We hosted a sneak preview for the music video of "Hell of a Love" by Atlanta artist 7 AM (pictured above in third image). We had other artists, producers, and managers on hand alongside the artist and his guests as we were filming additional content for the video and showing off our work in progress and GOMA's previous accomplishments. We left everyone there in awe and amazement when we showed off the talents we're host to and how serious we are about becoming a giant here in ATL. Our very own Dosa Kim (pictured in the first and second image) gave everyone the tour and showcase of our studio. We came to make a name for ourselves here in Georgia and we're already off to an amazing start.
Day in and day out, we put all of our effort into what we make. We have a precise, dedicated team at the ready to deliver the best results they can for our projects. Our very own Sil Patel can attest to that; he's putting the time in on some work as we speak. Without his skill, and that of our other teammates, we wouldn't be able to do what we do.
Our own Director of Photographer / Director of Boom Box Films / GOMA Studio Labs is doing a talk as the keynote speaker at G.E.M. the Gwinnett Entertainment Meetup tonight. Worked with the likes of COMMON, GUCCI MANE, and many more. With more than 2 decades worth of experience, SUPADOPE, is sharing some words and stories about the industry. This is great opportunity to see firsthand a true professional in film making. We at GOMA are super proud of one of our resident Directors to be participating in the film community of Georgia. Hope to see you there.
Tonight is our OPEN HOUSE! GOMA STUDIO LABS ATL!!! COME OUT! So we can show you what we have been up too!
It's been 2 years since a post went up on this blog. Super excited today to open up a new chapter of our specialized digital unit known as GOMA. Coming back to Atlanta has been more than just an amazing homecoming but to come back to an amazing and thriving movie and video game scene as well. The crew in Atlanta has been super amazing. As you can see both Rose and Rachael Little, Environment Artists, created this rendition of Gaja Bar and Restaraunt for the Apparatus project we have been poking at for some time. We are super honored to bring aboard Martin Hall, who is more than an accomplished VFX Sup. on board and even working with the likes of pro Sound Engineer, Composer, Award Winning multi Genre artist Billy Hume to the crew as well. We will be updating this blog, so stay tuned! This was a tough as nails to make, but man is it pretty! |
