This project had particularly a fast turnaround. These were some of the initial concepts that were created for the piece. The director wanted a "retro" type of robot. RR, our resident concept guy, knocked these three out.
The second thing we were responsible in designing was the space ship. The director on this wanted a Independence Day look and feel to the spaceship. These are a few that we whipped up that gave us an initial feel. This was all done in one day, due to time restraints. Ultimately, we at GOMA wanted some mechanics in the spaceship within the shot. We did a basic rig on the ship so that it could open up to show some kind of movement and ominous feeling of doom. |
Along with the robots, spaceships and dinosaurs in this piece, this was GOMA's first stab at practical effects. Our new addition to our team Saeko Yamazaki who has much experience in the world of Special Effects. Here are some of the prep works for the Zombie shot.
